We are living in a day and age when Christian persecution is not simply on the rise, it is increasing at an alarming rate and its impact includes more countries than ever before. In fact, more Christians were martyred in the 20th century than in all other centuries combined (www.christianity.com). With radicalism spreading its wings to overshadow the earth with its horrific anti-Christian agenda, more and more men, women and children are having their testimony of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ tested. Currently, over 100 million Christians are being persecuted worldwide (Reuters, 2013). While not all persecution leads to torture, imprisonment and/or death, there is a growing number of brothers and sisters in the Lord who face the ultimate decision to stand true to their confession.
